Bought these back in 2009 when I knew about zero about coins. They appear to be in immaculate shape.

Thoughts on grade? Are these photos enough for you guys to estimate? I don't see any noticeable scratches anywhere..

First time I've looked at them really since then.. Looking at them again because as some of you may know, the last few months I've been learning more about coins.T

    Thank you for the help.

I have them each in a tight plastic pouch by the way, they aren't just 'laying around'.

I know next to nothing about gold, but for one, I don't think they are D mint, I think they are Philadelphia. And I would check the dimensions and weights of them too, to be sure on authenticity. I can't help on the grades, sorry. Good luck!

You are correct, I wrote D in my filings as in D for Dollar. Indeed, they are not 'D'.

    Thank you.

I don't have a scale on me.. or a measuring tool for mm. Need to work on that..

Update: After being requested to weight the coins to verify them, I purchased a scale from Amazon. It arrived today...

    2 1/2 Dollar Coin: 4.19 grams
    1 Dollar Coin: 1.63 grams

According to the proper weights, they seems to be legitimate.

The more I've learned about coins the last few months, these coins imo could be graded extremely high.

Anyone with opinions on their grade?

Worth it to send them in to PCGS? How much would it cost to grade both of these coins?

    Thank you for responses.

The images terrify me and not in a good way.

The surfaces seem...artificially bright and mirror like. Almost like what the surfaces of a gold foiled chocolate is. Not saying it's a confection, it's just off to me. Can you take a close up like this example?
