Since I already have a toned proof 72-S, ill share this one. Gorgeous toning even though the grade could be higher check it out if interested. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1972-S-Eise...44?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item33814fe95c
Wow, that's pretty nice as well... unfortunately more than I can spend at the moment... that would certainly be a nice addition.
I was actually going to send you the link to that one last night. Nice coin, but for the grade I don't think the toning makes up the premium on that coin. On that note, here is my newest: NGC Fatty Slab. More of an impulse buy. May go up for sale.
PM'd you back. And another New Purchase: I believe it is a Micro S, and at PR69DCAM, worth taking a look. Excited for this one to come in next week!
:thumb:Both Gem Toned!!! But 1974-S Brown Box toning is Great + come with a lot of 1974-S B/Box Why?? But homerun shot!!!
??? sorry, don't understand what you're saying. Micro S is not recognized by the big 2 graders. That is why it is time to cherry pick varieties like the Micro S, Bicentennial OAK, NightCrawlers, and others now. These "unattributed" varieties often go unnoted until they make the CPG or Red Book. Will Anacs attribute the Micro S, yes... But you can still find these in raw coins or even graded if you are willing to look.
Just noted this is an MS66 coin and not the PR66 the seller has it listed as. Not sure if that changes anyone's mind, still a nice coin, but not a Proof as the description lists it.
Although i agree with that statement let me also ask you a question, could you find a comparable example for the money? I don't think i could, not saying it makes the asking price anymore bearable. For the right person who doesn't wanna spend the big bucks of a MS67 or MS68 i could see. I think the 74-S proofs with the target toning are far too common much like the 70-S proof cents along with the blue toning of most brown box ikes. Also bhaugh I find cherry picking a 74-S Micro mint mark is quite the challenge from images alone especially since alot of ebay images for these coins are stock, I wish you the best and good luck with you collection. P.S. Nice catch...
Heh, anyone think this one's worth it? (I don't just asking your own opinions) http://www.ebay.com/itm/1974-S-US-M...89?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item4d0b7371fd Oh, and to the above, being that it's MS-66 and not PF-66 I don't think that's really a bad price for the grade.
Struggled to photograph this coin so that it doesn't look flat and gray, below is he best I've managed. In hand it has very nice color. This coin made me change my mind about Ikes; formerly I didn't think very highly of them.
Nice coin, I'm guessing it's a Population of 1? If this is all it took to make you change your mind about the series, I'm sure there are some guys on here that could show you some Ikes that would make you regret ever doubting it in the first place!
