Well nowadays, people almost pay $10 for a fancy-coffee, so I think that your $10 coin-purchase fulfilled the same craving, "plus", their coffee is now gone but you still have your purdy-sandy-patina purchase ... nice

=> well played once again, my unvarnished friend, well played!!

I really do like the the Seleucid coins. I have only one decent bronze (Antiochus I), but I did manage over time to pick up the Demetrius I Soter tetradrachm, Demetrius II Nicator Tyre Shekel, Antiochus VII Sidetes Tetradrachm and the Philip I Philadelphus Tetradrachm. They really did issue some fabulous coins, and yours in no exception. A little crusty but your coin flaunts a great obverse portrait. Great pick up. Careful Seleucid fever is highly contagious and expensive to treat.
