I received my scope yesterday. Not too happy with it, was hoping for better picture quality/ better zoom, but for 40 bucks, I guess you get what you pay for.But it was able to find this.

I'm assuming that after he set the MM, the punch took a bounce.

If it's not a roping die crack(does the raised area continue over and touch the tail of the nine?) I think you've got a nice one there that's a new discovery piece. I would send it either to Wexler at doubleddie.com or Bob Piazza over at coppercoins.com.

Is Mr. Piazza still taking in inquiries? Last time I heard, he was taking an extensive break off. With no timetable for a return.

Bob and BJ Neff are still attributing for the site. You might be thinking of Chuck. He's taking a break. Just make sure to follow the attribution guidelines as both Bob and BJ are very busy and need to schedule it.

No, its not a die crack, the part you see is obviously very faint, but if you catch the coin in the light properly, you can see the vertical section of the MM as well.

Ill take other pictures of the coin.

The top pic is the best I can do for capturing the vertical section of the MM. Again, its very faint.

Definitely a great RPM find Clutchy. I checked CC, Wexler, Coneca, and Crawford and none of them have this one listed.

That one does look like it could have split serifs, but what you are seeing to the east of the vertical bar and the curve is shallow MD. Still looks like it has potential for a rotated split serif D/D. Try and get some light pointed towards the serifs, and that should show the splits.

That's a good one. Definitely a rotated RPM. Another nice find.
