Here is a VERY neat medal that I just got back from the grading services. This piece is #43 of 50 and may well be the finest known.

Stacks described one it sold in 2009 as:

1909 New Theatre of New York Medal. Bronze, 76.5mm. By Bela Lyon Pratt. ANS 20, Baxter 220.
Obv. Seated nude muse holds mirror. Rev. Female wearing Grecian chiton stands as children draw aside curtains. One of only 50 bronze struck by the infant Medallic Art Co. that ANS found virtually unsalable. Another design by Gutzon Borglum was created but not sold by ANS, and the theatre itself closed a short time after its widely publicized opening.

Very cool...what is something like this worth?

Hard to say. The piece that sold at Stacks in 2009 was described as "Choice About Uncirculated" and it brought $536. It's hard to say what a 65 brings.

I saw those...so I would assume the 65 would be many multiples of that hammer price. Very beautiful medal! Just wandered into your store?

    Yes,

It did in one of the nicest medal lots I have ever seen let alone owned.
