Hey group . After several months I finally got the first of my shipment of Silver anniversary eagles. they are really nice. I noticed on one set that the proof appears to have a spot. not real sure if it is on the coin or the inside of the plastic capsule

I would like to know if i can open the capsule they come in for closer inspection and if so what is the best way to do with it.

can live with it or send it back that would be my other options. would really hate to send it back probably probably take forever to get it right . Is this the problem I have read of concerning these coins . thanks

The capsules are not held together by glue or anything. You can easily pry them apart with your fingernail.

thanks, now just wish i had a finger nail cut the things this weekend . That is nice to know and the information is appreciated. just wanted to make sure you could do this without making a big mess. find some one at work with good eyes and finger nails to do it for me .
