Which type ? Ships colonie and commerce PEI token.

    here is a pic of the one i have im pleased with the grade really for the age and circulation these things got but i want other opinions also on the grade if you can. i find the patina on this very pleasing actually despite it usually being collectors plight !

    I think I see a cut knob & ... but it is hard to tell.
    See the image here and let me know.

    I also see a raised H mintmark on the double lines at the right bottom of ship image.
    There are uniform beads on obv and rev and what they refer to as a straight flag. I don't see anything else that jumps out at me to make this a more scarce variety ... but I have to know the type ampersand.

    You are not an idiot. See the image above that I took from the book I have here at home.
    An ampersand is the symbol used for the word " and " that looks like this &
    SHIPS
    COLONIES
    &
    COMMERCE

    i can confirm it is the cut knob in that case any ide what PE number it is ?

    I think this is PE10-30
    I would estimate the value of your token in the 10-15 dollar range and I think it is in original condition and perhaps grades a net F-12 considering the verdigris and the rim nick. Take a close look at the first S in SHIPS and the last E in COMMERCE. Do the look as if they were recut?

    Apparently 1830-35 but I've heard 1829 mentioned too :S
