#3 of 4 Flea Market finds...

This is in excellent condition, and appears to be silver.

I'm puzzled about the small circular image at the bottom of the obverse; it appears to be a winged harpist contemplating an obelisk.

As before, I have done no research...I welcome your comments, thanks.

Your medal is silver WW and was designed by Victor David Brenner (we all know who he was). I believe either his initials "VDB" or "V D Brenner appear on you medal so take a close look to see if it's there. The winged figure in the circle is a depiction of the Greek goddess of victory, Nike. Great pickup and a beautiful piece.

Look under the man on the right under the portrait. Saw it there under magnifaction.

Sequim (say Skwim) Washington. Elegant Flea; 1st weekend in April, F & S.

The vendor, however, is from Anacortes, WA.

Is this THE 1909 Lincoln VDB? The same where if you had one from Frisco you could retire (1909 S-VDB)?

I guess it's time for me to inform myself about that mythically rare penny.

It sure is, one and the same.
