  1. Some collector's are still that way but if they prefer their coins to be in PCGS holders, they are ridiculed by other collectors.

Only way I pay that much is if Kate Upton comes with it.

I'll bet you can get one from a home shopping channel for only $86,653.99, with a solid oak presentatation box included!

While I fully agree that $86K is beyond ridiculous for this coin...calling this coin bullion is also ridiculous. This coin was never meant to be an investment bullion piece. It was originally designed for collectors. This coin is no more bullion than the 1895 proof Morgan Dollar was meant to be spent. This coin does have "true numismatic value" but it is nowhere near the amount paid at this auction IMHO.

I'm actually REALLY ****ed about this. If I get a PF70 now, will PCGS insist that I pay them 1% of $86k to get my coin back?

Simple answer? Don't drink the kool aid..........

  9. PCGS only does that fee for reconsideration service. So if you sent them in a 69 for that service and it got a 70 then you would be charged per their deemed value.

I like PCGS and according to some, I guess I am a kool-aid drinker. Whatever that means to them is fine. But I don't agree with this new service. It's a joke.
