After just over 2 years collecting out of circulation, I've amassed the following: 12 silver "wartime" nickels, one from each year, still working on all mints 78 Eisenhower dimes 11 Winged Liberty (Mercury) dimes 14 Washington quarters 17 40% silver halves 1 90% silver JFK half 4 Canadian 80% silver dimes http://i.imgur.com/DvQelyU.jpg for a picture What's everyone else's collection look like, and how long have you been collecting?
That's Roosevelt on those dimes, baubry. Those are nice pulls out of just circulation. I imagine you got the halves from banks, though, or did you also get those in circulation?
After roughly two and a half years of hunting, I've found ~$600 face value copper pennies, ~10 pounds of wheats, one IH, one Lincoln memorial cent ~30% off-center, ~80 war nickels, one Liberty nickel, ~10 buffalo nickels (including a 1913 type I), a 1950-D Jefferson (as well as some other better dates), ~20 Rosies, two Mercs, two 90% Washington quarters, one proof Washington, one no date Walker, one Franklin, four 40% Kennedy's and a whole smattering of foreign coins. Not least of all, HUNDREDS of hours of harmless fun that has been been a crucial part of replacing some older, long-time habits of mine that were very self-destructive.
You guys are doing great! These were given to me, so I didn't find them myself. But a few decades ago, a friend of mines dad pulled these out of circulation (along with a TON of Washington quarters). Is that mustard?
I got really into CRH -- I don't have any mass photos of all my finds (sounds like a great idea) -- but I do have quite a few images of the results of each hunt. I kicked off a blog and my goal is to search $30,000 of coins by year end! The blog keeps track of my totals for year to date. www.BigGameCRH.blogspot.com
