    Thanks,
I just got word that my ASE 20th set was shipped Friday so I'll post some nice close-ups of them (especially the reverse proof) when they arrive.

    Mikjo0,

You're right about the reverse. I received mine on Friday and it's fantastic.

If only some of my Morgans had a reverse like that!

I got my proof sf yesterday. It was my first proof silver dollar. OMG I was blown away. I was just staring at it forever. Is the capsule supposed to spin around. I didn't want to press it together any tighter incase its supposed to be the way it arrived. Even if its not perfect, luckily it wasn't out of the case.. I'll keep it forever. My unc ase is backordered and the unc sf is reserved spipping date is supposed to be on the thirteenth. :)

The capsules should be tight.Just press with both thumbs and forefingers until it is closed all the way.Don't worry,it's unlikely that you can harm the coin inside.A lot of people are reporting that theirs are loose lately, especially with the SF Mint coins and Eagle 20th anniversary sets.

Ok thanks. I'll do that. I'd think that they would press them together a little better. Maybe they need a raise or some kind of incentive program to where if any coins come back that came from their station for not being together properly their bonus gets deducted a little for each one. Some kind of incentive program atleast to get them to take their job a little more seriously. I can believe that they will have some kind of arguement that it could happen during shipping, but it would seem slightly unlikely that they would come apart that often in shipping if they were pressed together properly at the time of handling. /shrug :)

WOW, I normally don't buy 'Commeratives' or other 'Special Issues' from the US Mint, but this may change my mind :)

    Thanks for posting the pictures

I didn't notice that it had the Morgan Back, but it is very nice.

    Really nice.
I assume that it was produced in San Francisco? With the S mintmark & all.

To me, the back looks fake. The Morgan reverses seem so much more delicate than this one does, especially with the brest feathers.

    Ruben,
I should be getting my UNC version soon, maybe tomorrow or early next week and I'll post pics of it for comparison.Should look a bit closer to the originals than these proofs..it will be interesting.Maybe I'll photograph it side by side with my best Morgan.
