1964 S over D mm?

    I think I see a S over D (or vice-versa). However all my searches end up nowhere. I am able to zoom my own pics making it much easier to see mint mark. Can anyone else see it or have any info they could share? Many thanks! DSC_3162.jpg DSC_3163.jpg

    You need to provide a better close-up of the mint mark, but my gut reaction is that the "D" is just smashed a bit or it's a die chip.

    that's a filled mint mark, not an S. The San Francisco Mint was not making coins from 1956-1968 and although the Assay Office there may have struck a few coins, none of them bore an "S" mintmark

    Looks like a mintmark that took a hit. Ot seeing evidence of either an RPM or OMM.
    Keep up the hunt!
