I would have taken that gamble looks as though some of those will have some good color, post an update when they arrive if you can......
I will do that and I agree with you, it does look like there is some good color on several. I was hoping someone else felt the same way I did on these..
I am not trying to get Anyone  MAD Is not his Money to Buy with??? Lets talk coin no money issues:smile
He was agreeing with my comment on my taking a gamble based on the somewhat poor images. So its's all good!!
My new Monster: ANACS says it is PF69DCAM... Pretty sure PCGS won't see things the same way, but I think it's worth a shot at attempting to cross.
I understand that Rev 1774& Never meant it was U:smile. But with all the wise cracker's we have gathered in the pass few months.Something like that would be were someone would take it the wrong way.At times today it only take 1 to get a Lockout or a war of word:smile.
I was wrong to Quote U Rev 1774.I am not trying to Be a Mod or even want to be one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All I really meant was respect your fellow Cointalk member. I sorry I disrespected u in a way:foot-mouth:
Picked this up for a little more than i wanted to pay for a raw toned Ike, but hopefully the colors and coin are as nice as the sellers pics are portraying it to be. I have been looking for a toned 71-S proof since i started collecting toned Ikes so i hope this one lives up to my expectations......
Here's a couple of mine 1972 Type 2 Reverse - Haven't decided what grade this one is, I'm thinking AU55ish 1974-S 40% Silver 1976-S 40% Silver - Awesome example of a ghost coin!
I do not know if this would Work? I and 6 other that Bid on H.A >>>>all auction>>>thru to even> eBay. not to run up bids on each other On Graded Morgan dollar. There kinda of a core group here U2 could try it??? I am Done with my Ike set but will bid on a toner Ike in NY min! so it u do keep me in the lop!
this 5-10 members that post+BUY IKE Dollars on this page semi regularly.I what I do with 6 other members that bid on Graded Morgan Dollars we have an agreement on $$$ bid limit + OR - $5.00 if we all 6 are on that Same Coin So we know how high it could go there always someone that could jump in we Do Not make each other pay to much. but eBay is always a crape shot bid wise. I am semi done with my Ike set with the 5tsar set this yr next Ike is Golden President 2014 or 2015 but if I am not worm food/dead my Ike set is full unless I can find Pcgs PR70 1776-1976 Clad the population is 32 I know were to buy 1 but $3000.00 is not in my area code
You know, this isn't a bad idea... I've been bidding on a bunch of Ike's lately and I always wonder if I'm battling with someone here on the board and driving up their prices. There's only one other person here whose ebay name I know, and I've been avoiding bidding and driving up the auctions whenever I've seen him. If y'all are wanting to share your ebay usernames (either here or in "PM Tag") so we can find out whether we're going after each other, I think that would be rather chivalrous. BTW - I've just won a number of really nice '74 proof toners which I will try to image nicely when they get here... lots of sweet rainbow toning (which I'm finding rather common for that date).
I think the problem with this idea and sharing ebay user names is that you don't know who is really bidding against you. All you see is, for example, is n**1. That does not correspond with with an ebay log on account name. Some other way???...a thread dedicated to just CT users bidding on ebay for something...? I'm not even sure that would work??
Well, I guess you learn something new everyday... I thought that at least the first and last character displayed in the bid list were actual and they just starred out the middle... if that were the case you could have at least taken an educated guess if it was that particular user. Ok, so I stand corrected. The one reason generally given to NOT post a link to an active auction here is to avoid the potential for someone lurking to go and at least bid it up on you if not vie for the same thing. Obviously if we're all looking for the same type stuff I should be able to safely assume someone here is also looking at the same thing and could find it on their own anyways. Oh well, was worth a shot to think about at least...
