The last coin was the 3CN and the 20c was next to last. The half was the first, I used it as a pocket piece for a few years before I made the big jump to do the set

whats set less gold

 

a technically complete set would include the gold coins from the year ... many people doing type sets ignore the gold since it can be prohibitively expensive

That's an awesome collection and I appreciate stuff like that. I was inspired to start a collection called "what-happened-here" cent collection. I received an entire roll from the bank of cents that look like it was in a train wreck. I posted a thread in the coin roll section called Ugliest Roll Ever. I couldn't throw them in the coinstar food bucket, so I decided to put them in an album. All dates are readable but it takes a minute to figure them out lol

 

Did you have to drill a hole in a coin to fill out and finish the set? :greensmile: LOL
