Been trying tofigure out this one. I've seen coins that were soldered together to make a twoheaded coin but this one is very hard to tell.
Heavier than two nickels but smaller diameter than a normal nickel.

The gravitational pull has been very high on nickel and cucumbers since the last full moon. Give it a week or so and then re-weigh it.

The moons phase really has nothing to do with gravity its when its overhead. Actually the gravitational effect of the moon is .00034% that of the earth. So for every 100 lbs of weight, you are .00034 lbs lighter when the moon is directly overhead.
So our math is NIckel = 11.2 Grams When the moon is directly overhead the nickel will =11.196192 Grams.
To take the earth gravity out of our equation we could look at specific gravity of the coin.
.[IMG]This might be a problem as I really think the metal in the coin is of question also.

It must be that toned black stripe on the rim. Looks like lead deposits.

Looks a lot thicker than usual, and looks cast. Or maybe it's platinum. :)

Even if that was silver, it would still be too heavy by 1 gram, for its mass. I think its split then bonded with lead solder, considering its smaller in diameter as well.

Please take another photo of the 11 gram Nickel while showing the full scale. Notice the top of the scale is missing from the photo. It is April Fools Day.
