I recently inhereted a bunch of coins. There are a several tokens in the box, and I've been able to identify all but one. It's about the size of a 2 cent coin, I've included two pictures, which have a small cent next to it for sizing.

On one side it just says "United States of America" with leaves around the middle, but just blank in the middle. And on the other side is just a picture of a small house. There is no date on either side.

    Any ideas? Thanks!

I have never seen one before but It could possibly be a Civil War Token that was engraved on one side, kind of like a love token. The engraved side (the one with the little house) was not stamped and I cannot identify the other side as of yet.

Thanks for the response. I was guessing it was a love token too, but I just couldn't figure out how the coin was flat on the middle of the "USoA" side. I guess they just ground that down too.

My impression is that of an altered and engraved H1C.

It could be an unfinished project.

yeah, I didn't even catch that. I would agree with it being a half cent that was in the process of being turned into a love token.
