Hi, First off I want you to know I know very little about coins. I've saved anything silver I have come across and collected silver strikes. Anyhow I was recently looking at what I have to see if I have anything of value. And I pretty much don't although I bought a few 1/10 eagles and a couple pandas 10 or 12 years ago for about $37-40.00 if I remember. One of the pandas I mounted in a gold bezel for my wife to wear so its not in pristine condition. Looking online it looks like what I have is a 1/10 gold panda dated 1998 with a large date and am seeing that its of low mintage and could be rare. My question is if this truly rare and have value? should I have it graded to make sure it is what is is? And I'm also wondering what damage has been done having mounted and worn as jewelry. Having it checked out is basically all I want and may want to sell it some day. What should I do with this? Thanks
Bring it to a coin store and ask them. Or do some research on eBay to as how much its worth. Those usually sell for over $200 on eBay.

Bringing my topic back up, I took my 1998 1/10 large date gold panda to a local coin shop to see what it was worth and they assured me it was not worth much more than current cost of gold. Is this coin really not worth much? From what I read that year was lowest mintage ever and see people trying to sell on eBay for over a thousand but is this guy just full of bull or what
