I was in the local coin shop today and I was looking at some slabbed Morgan's all from top tier headings services and noticed some simply did not state the grade. Example on simply said 1900 Morgan, uncirculated. No grade no other info. Do they just do that so you don't get upset when they return a coin to you that wasn't up to par with their requirements? Thanks in advance, just trying to ease my curiosity!
Bulk submissions. Usually when a bulk submission is taken, they holder the coins that meet the submitter's criteria (say MS64 or higher). Those get a numerical grade. The rest are either chosen to be put in a holder without a grade, or simply returned to the submitter.
Okay thank you, I'm a total noob with coins and I'm filled with questions! On another note I purchased my first two eagles today, now what are they considered? Bullion, coins, or both
Mixed answers on that. I consider them both since they are monetized at $1, but mostly, I consider them bullion. Some select I would call coins which include the proof issues and reverse proof issues. The rest is silver.
If they were make 50 year or more ago then collectible coins. If they are new, then just bullion IMO.
