Here is a coin I got in a lot of coins a few years back. I was just wondering if any one could help me out with it. It weighs apx 10.9 grams and is apx 1 inch across. Thanks for any help.
It looks like a copy of a Judaic 2nd Revolt tetradrachm. 2nd revolt was 132-135 AD, these coins were overstruck on 14g silver tetradrachms and were not struck in bronze: only silver. Here is a link to one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/antiquitiesproject/5795103263/ Typical prices for a decent one (in silver) are about $4,000+. Heritage made a big thing of a collection of them last Fall and some supposedly brought over $50K. You should be able to have the lettering deciphered and read the date, but your appears to be only a copy.
