Interested in knowing what some of you think the grade of this Morgan is. I'll post pics of the whole slab later tonight after I get home.
This is a hard one as I think the toning is shading a lot of the detail on the obverse. That's an easy AU reverse. I'll say it's in the money at EF45.
Obverse looks like it has some wear on the hair above the forehead of Liberty, but that may be due to the photo. Judging by this photo I would agree on Eddie's call. But heck, why not drink the cool aid..........
It's the pics. I looked up the coin on NGC's cert verification site and NGC's pics show a lot more detail than the OP's pics. There is a lot more detail in Liberty's hair and on the eagle's chest feather. I do believe this coin is an MS-64 you just can't tell by the pics. I recommend looking at the link below. Great coin btw! http://www.ngccoin.com/certlookup/CertResults.aspx?CertNumber=3687635-069
It is the toning on the obverse--it gives the coin a kind of flat, lusterless look, which is not accurate according to NGC. I don't know if I would go for it at MS 64--looks more like a 61-62 to me, but that could be the unattractive gray toning.
