Picked these off of the pictures on a couple of ebay listings. The clash diagnostics on the reverse are what convinced me to take a shot on the questionability of the mouth area. Bugs Bunny FS-401 or no? Let me know what you think! The 1952 is PCGS MS64FBL.
While the clash diagnostics may exist on the reverse, there's no guarantee that the evidence of the clash had not been abraded away such as what I can see on the 52. It's abraded to the point where it looks like Ben's mough is open. Thats not a good sign and hoping for the FS-401 based upon the reverse diagnostic is a losing proposition. Better photo's of the mouth area are required.
Definitely hoping better lighting and magnification will reveal more in terms of mouth diagnostics, but they are both currently being shipped and "in transit". They will be here this weekend when I will post more pictures. Heres hoping for the best! What do you think the percentage chance of succes is here?
Yeah I guess these new pics don't even prove it, but under the 16x loupe its there. In the pics above you can see separation on the 53' S on the lip right below the nose. It is more dramatic than the pics are showing. Well off to PCGS they go ha
I only have a couple. I am pretty new to collecting period. I haven't got to Franklin's yet. They are prettier, to me, than the Kennedy's though. Really a beautiful coin in high grades!
