Like I said in earlier posts, I'm new to currency, I'm trying to grade this bill, we have a few books coming to help us. Would this bill grade as a Fine?

  3. I don't know enough about notes to be a reliable grader, so I can't help with that. But that is a nice looking note! :) It's funny how much more emphasis is placed on the "United States of America" than on Washington's portrait.

I am by no means an expert paper money grader especially without the note in hand, but I would offer a guess of 45. Beautiful note.

45? Wow, I was guessing a 12-15.... Guess I got some learning to do.

Back in the day when the Unites States was a great country.... Today it's not even US money, it's FRN money.... sad.

    No pretty art either!

That's not a 45, it also appears to have pinholes and glue residue.

Like I say, I am far from an expert.

It's still US money...just from a different part of the government. I will agree the art these days is poor though.

VF on a super good day when the graders are happy and smiling and at peace with the world.

So there is two tiny pin holes on the right of the bill, i don't see glue residue, the white sticker was in the right upper corner of this holder.

So assuming it grades as a 12-15 raw, what kind of price is this valued at? I got it for $90, but i thought it was under valued thanks everyone.

I'm thinking $150ish ~ maybe $175 graded at 15. I think you did good at the raw price. Only question that matter is are you happy?

You did good on this purchase. It's definitely a solid Fine. $150-$175 seems about right for value as well.

My wife is happy with it, so that's all that matters, just wanted to update my excel sheet.

It was between this and a 1917 large note red seal $1, this one was in better condition and it was blue... I really like blue so i might have had something to do with her picking it
