just now got this Cuban 1 peso 1988 copper coin. I have the copper nickel coin already. I have not seen this copper coin in about 12 years of searching. there are 2 of this coin on ebay right now. had to get 1 of them. check the mosquito out. very cool:

2001 Slovakia silver beetle cross. I love this design. this coin got me fascinated with insect coins. the more real the insect looks the more i like them. I will eventually collect all the colorized sticker ones, but for now they can wait.:whistle:

 

1997 Poland silver proof stag beetle. I got this coin for $70.00 about 10 years ago. now it catalogs for $375.00 3 of them on ebay are going for $400-650. crazy. last year 1 on Ebay went for $900. I was tempted to sell it but i just could not part with it. I love/enjoy my coins.

 

got this 1988 1 peso copper coin with mosquito today in the mail. it is so beautiful. mint state perfection no marks at all looks MS-70
looks better in person. I gotta get an airtite for this coin asap.

this coin is my personal favorite from this set. the color is simply amazing. the weight of this is quite hefty. its 8 sides are fun to hold. I need to get an airtite for it. I do not want to see it scratched up. this set went from smallest to largest size and not by denomination order. I am liking bi-metallic coins more and more.

 

Nice designs indeed. Keep in mind however that these Bonaire pieces were not issued by or on behalf of any government. Would call them fantasy coins ...
