Please help me I reciently got a coin that appears to be a real 1776 contiental currency dollar, but I am not experianced enough to know what are some tall tail signs of a fake.

A furthur look Thank you for your reply I look furthur on the coin and on the edge of the coin i could see a small "c" and a "o" but could not make out the other two letters. Would a person that had copyed this coin put the word "copy" on the edge of the coin where the normal ridges on a regular dime or quarter would be or is it something else, also the silver on it looks like it be chipping of on the edges and it looks like brown metal underneath like maybe copper or brass. So what do you think I wish i could send you a pic. but I don't have a scanner.
