Word at the PCGS forum is that there are less than 15,000 ASE Anniversary 3-coin sets remaining before a sellout. Here is the link: http://forums.collectors.com/messageview.cfm?catid=26&threadid=551048 How long do you think it will be before they actually sell out?
The mint takes extra orders in case of cancellations and returns, so they may already be sold out by now. I ordered more sets on 10/24 and my status shows 'Your order request is in process.'
I recently was told by a dealer that he could give me $175 a set raw. sell out should give it another little bump. hot coin at least for now. ordered mine on the 2nd day (been so long ago can not remember the date) anyhow last friday my status changed to " in stock and reserved" just have to be patient i am afraid. 12/08 is kind of a catch all for these orders.
I had originally ordered a legacy set and the 3pc silver set, both for investment purposes but just last week I canceled the legacy and ordered another silver set. Sure hope it'll increase in value.
