I could be wrong Davey, but I think its either you or me who has the right answer. Looks like we will have to wait until after 8 when the OP is off work. Cool contest bkozak33, thanks for having it.

Wow this is the most ridiculous contest I've ever seen, I thought the clue shows two coins that overlapped with design changes in 1866, then the S mint, so I guessed all 1866 denominations from San Fran ... this clearly shows that logic does not apply to THIS contest HAHA ... 27 pages, classic!

edit: classic, and evil at the same time! :D

Hopefully you're right Heuvy, it would be wild if still no one has guessed the right coin by now. Cool contest indeed, 27 pages in less than 1 day haha. Very clever for bkozak33 to create this contest.

My last guess: 1844 O seated liberty half dime.
Now I can finally get back to work.... or not :)

I am surprised by how many guesses were for Barber coinage before 1892

I definitely way over thought the clues with my earlier guesses. Then at some point (can't remember which page now) the OP mentioned the coin was not a half dollar or quarter and OP stated as well the coin was a seated liberty. The OP also mentioned the answer was one of the coins from the pics. By looking at the pics I knew if it was a dime it would have to be an S and 1960 or later because of the wreath design. With the half dime I knew by the wreath design it had to be a pre 1960 coin and since no mint mark was present it had to be P. Since there had been so many guesses at this point I went back to page 1 and wrote down all of the dime and half dime guesses that fit that description. I found all of the possible dimes had already been guessed so I started guessing the remaining half dimes until they were all gone. Luckily one of them ended up being right. Hope that description is helpful. Thanks again to bkozak33 for the contest.

Just got my prize in the mail. Thanks for getting it out so quick. It's an awesome coin. This is my first and only half dime (it's crazy how small they are) and it is now my oldest coin. Thanks again for the prize and the contest.
