i just learned a new tip about finding silver and wanted to share. go to your local supermarket that has a coinstar machine and look in the reject bin. i have not done this yet but i was reading that people have found car wash tokens, arcade tokens, forign coins, silver coins, and some oddities. most people just toss the rejected coins back in the machine and if it dosen't take it the second time they usually just leave it there. i even read of this one man finding a 1954D quarter in the reject tray. also try looking under the machines too because the silver or forigns fly out of the bin and go under the machine. you never know what you will find. can't beat free money!
I work at a car dealership and people sometimes trade their cars in with tons of change (sometimes crudy). I must have atleast 30 dollars worth of change from the past two months. I even find a few wheat pennies from time to time... Its like giving myself that raise my boss wont give me.
I've been checking the CoinStars since they came to this area and have had great success. I got a '64 dime yesterday, thats the 7th silver I pulled out this year, plus tons of other stuff, wheaties, tokens foreign and lots of clad.
