We recieved these coins as part of a collection to appraise, and cannot find any info on them. If anyone has any idea about the origins or history behind these coins, we would certainly appreciate your input. Just to clarify, the top picture is of both coins' face and the bottom picture is the other side of both coins. So what we have are two different coins both with a different post circulation engraving or stamping.

    Thank you,

Update: We have now discovered what type of coins these are.

The first is a Romanian 5 Bani:

The second is an Austrian 1 Kreuzer:

Now any insights into the post circulation engravings would be very helpful.
Thanks for all the quick responses!

Upper coin : bronze Austrian 'Scheidemünze' for use in Romania. I cannot see if it's dated, but it should be from the early 1800s...
Second one is some kind of a fantasy token or so. Not a coin, not a medal...

[TD="align: left"][FONT=Times New Roman, Times, serif]I found an ancient coin while playing in a patch of undeveloped area in Sarasota, Florida. The poured and stamped metal has a crest on one side and the other shows the number 2 on the top edge and below that is a centered grid. On the grid marks a V / R V1 / ?

    doug444 STAMPS and POSTCARDS too!

If those coins have a tiny nub of metal projecting from the reverse (at the very center) and it looks like they might, they are coins that have been reworked into bar spinners, i.e., you spin to see who pays for the next round of drinks.
