I'm new here and to collecting. I recently purchased at set of ICG MS69 Silver Eagles from 1986 to 2006. I paid spot for them ($29) and would like to know their value. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nice! ICG isnt a popular tpg but its still nice. dont remove them from container. If every single one is MS69 the older ones might be worth 40+ mabye... but anyways really nice find! ASEs are liquid. I could see each one of those selling for 40-50 bucks each because grading isnt cheap, and welcome to CT! look for errors, some are really valuable. (if there are any, I dont know)

how many coins were in the set? did u get any proofs? proofs are worth 70 dollars a piece.(retail) then theres burnished types, and W (west point) mintmarks. which are rarer

Nice find! Any ASE at scrap is a good buy, let alone graded and uncirculated!

Thank all of you for your replies. Im pretty stoked about getting them at spot. I work in a remote area of AK for 2 weeks at a time and I havn't been home to actually look at the coins yet. All I know is that the entire set from 86-06 have been graded MS69 by ICG and that none of them are proof, just uncir.

I'd say you got a pretty good deal, but don't put too much stock in the value because ICG slabs won't sell for near as much as NGC or PCGS even if they are accurately graded.

Just because its graded should not add value to a coin. You are buying the coin what someone else paid to have it graded should not reflect in the price!
