My Collection of German Commemorative 5 Marks

    For the last few months I've been actively putting together a collection commemorative German 5 Marks. With the exception of the earliest and most expensive issues (1952D, 1955F, 1955G, and 1957J), I have a nearly complete set. Hopefully I'll be able to acquire the first four someday when I have more money, but for now I'm satisfied with what I've put together.

    I've only scanned the silver issues for now. I'll get the Cu-Ni ones up sometime this weekend.

    First up: 1964J 150th Anniversary - Death of philosopher Johann Gottlieb Fichte

    Nice collection, I only got the one from 1966.

    The Theodor Fontane 150th Anniversary eagle design kind of resembles reichspfennig eagles from 1935.

    Yes, I have those too. Very nice of you to add an info link to almost every coin! And no, I don't think the Fontane eagle looks like a Reichspfennig (50 Rpf?) eagle. Except ... well, both are eagles. ;)
