Is this "S" a Type 1 or Type 2 - 1981 Susan B. Anthony? It's as good a scan as I could get...... tia...
1981... I am to that part of the set and I didn't realize how hard it is to differentiate[FONT=arial, sans-serif] the mintmarks[/FONT]
Aye.... At first glance I said Type 1, but then under a loupe there is a lot of 'field' inside the "S".... VERY confusing. (the scan seems to mush it all together)
Kevin - I posting these pictures again, please save them to your computer so you can refer to them when you need to do so. That one is for the 1981 coins only. The differences are pretty easy to see when you have the coin in hand instead of a low quality picture to look at. This next picture shows you the differences in the 1979 coins, and the '81 coins. Again the differences are pretty easy to see.
Jace do you agree the first scan is a 2 and second is a 1? (left to right) hehe ---- "who's on first?!?"
