Can someone tell me if this is obverse 4 or 5 please as there is quite a difference in value.

Also, told it was into MS, perhaps only MS60.....but if experienced graders of Canadian
decimals think otherwise please let me know.

    Thanks, Marbury

As Canadian authorities appear sparce on the ground.....another forum confirmed the rarer obverse 4......MS62+

I now own this coin: obverse 4 nodded 6 and I think an MS63 trends at $9,500. Will send to ICCS and see what the result is.

no idea. Why did you send to ICG? ICG grading doesnt have much popularity compared to PCGS and NGC, and I dont like there holders at all.

I didn't send it to ICG. I have to send it to ICCS as they are the most conservative graders for Canadian decimals.

oops, sorry I misread that. And why would you want the most conservative graders out there?

For Canadian coins NGC and PCGS don't have credibility ICCS does. That does not mean I am not a fan of NGC as I use them every month, just not for a very valuable Victorian piece like this.

Did some research on ICCS, and it seems it has a good rep for canadians. Then you probably choose well.

if i can ask, how much did you pay? MS 60 is around 19,800, and MS62 is at 30,000, and MS63 is 42,000. Huge price changes.

Very expensive though. Will cost me $140 to get this graded. $100 Fed ex back to the UK and $40 for expedited grading, admin, etc.....if it comes back a 63 or 64 it will be worth it.......marbury

Not sure where you got those prices from but Canadian Coin News trends at $3200 for MS60, $5,500 MS62 and $9,000 for MS63...no trend for a 64.

Just got my ICCS result and as expected, ICCS are tough but came back AU58.......super as this makes it number 2 in their population report for highest graded.
