I still like the idea of locking certain threads after a period of time. Members are replying to members who are no longer members. Whether or not you are going to buy the new 2003 mint set is no longer a concern. The current trend/value of silver, is probably no longer current. And for some of the older threads that Doug is featured in, the world is no longer flat. :>)
I find it rather poignant that a thread by a deceased member entitled "Why are you here?" gets resurrected. Indeed, why ARE we here?
Why lock old threads? This question is as valid now as it ever was or will be...why does it matter if someone bumps an old thread? I missed it the first time around as other obviously have so its a good thing...
