The only canada coinage I'm going with is the current prehistoric glow in the dark set. I know they are a novelty, but I believe they are an interesting set that will bring a premium above the already rediculous mint premium for a $0.25 coin.

I don't believe these modern coins will be worth 80 bucks. These are modern low mintage's, just cause 10,000 were made doesn't mean its gonna be valuable. Supply and demand.

Hopefully I'll be able to find a hologram coin at a show, so I may see what one actually looks like. I'm on the fence, but $100 for a coin (I'm assuming $20 shipping) that I'm not head over heels for is a bit steep for me.

Personally, I wouldn't pay $80 for the coin. But, the supply is very low (10,000) and the demand from Canadian collectors might go up. Right now Canada is melting pennies. It is possible that the melt of pennies could lead to some new Canadian coin collectors. That in turn could drive up prices of all Canadian collectible coinage. I don't find the dragon fly to be very eye appealing, but someone trying to complete a Canadian set of some sort down the road might pay well over $80 for it.
