A few others I purchased. Im a little disappointed in the 27s, because I couldnt see the scratch ring on it through the 2x2. Overall I am happy with the tone of these coins and paid $8 for them.

Correction. The 1932d I paid $1 for. This 1926 was included in the $8 deal.

Yes sir, it does, but it sure is pretty ! Plus I needed one for my album. It was slim pickings for wheats. Tons of silver at the show. The only wheat highlights was a gorgeous 55 dd and a slabbed 09-s vdb with a $1000 price tag on it.

yep. 09svdb, 14d, and no d. I got a good deal on a icg au 55 1931 s that I cracked out and put in my album. Its best to be patient with the keys and wait for a good price on a nice coin.

I also have a 1927 uncirculated with beautiful toning, a 55% + offset, a planchet which doesnt have a raised rim on it yet and 2 BU 1968s cents. Of all the memorial cents that Ive found, the 68s has been the hardest, with only 1 found so far. Ill post those pics as soon as I get some 2x2s.

Again, this was my first show. I was expecting it to be bigger than it was and went for the sole purpose of getting supplies, rather than coins, but there really wasnt any. I bought some 2x2 flips and a lighted loop from a vendor that had extras. There was maybe 15 vendors total and all of it was silver. Some had a small album of wheats and most didnt have any.

I dont see many supplies either at coin shows where I go. It must not be profitable to lug all that stuff around.

True, but a small box with a little bit of everything wouldnt hurt for us newbies :D I always like to see in hand an item before purchasing it online. I get quite picky with stuff, and if its something Ive never seen in the first place, Im always second guessing it.

To find one that isn't a cull or slick is a great find though, especially grouped in like that. Finding Wheats from the 20's in that condition for that price is good. Add something productive to the conversation, or don't say anything at all...

The smaller coin shows are mainly small time dealers trying to make a bit of cash off the silver they have. When you get to one of the bigger ones, you'll see that when coin shops show up, they bring a bit more with them than just silver. Basically, they want to ensure they're going to make a profit when they go, so they generally only go to the bigger show.

Overall Clutch, I think you did good on your coin purchases. As I said above, getting 1920's Wheat's that aren't cull's or slick's is always a plus, and at that price is a good deal.

I wish I took a pic of the 1955 DD. It was gorgeous. Had a $3200 asking price.

I need a coin show soon. probably june or july in Las Vegas. it's been 3 years since I have been there. I used to go to all Vegas shows. now my debt is preventing me from going. I cannot go just to look.... I gotta buy at least $300 worth to have my coin fill. lol

Talk about the middle of nowhere! You should try the parsippani show on the first of every month.
