    It's worth what anyone is willing to pay you for it...just being honest as it not a huge error coin. From your pictures it may be post mint damage. Its hard to tell.

    It's not an error at all. It is simply a coin struck from a clashed die. What you are seeing is the remnants of E PLURIBUS UNUM from the reverse.

    A clased die is most definately an error. And "simply"? These are few & far between. The last to sell on the bay was nearly $20,
    W/1/2 the clash you posess. With that date & condition, I see it worth double the other. I wish folks would have the knowledge before they shoot down other's pieces.
    If M. Diamond or B.J. hang out here, what's your take?

    They really aren't that uncommon. I have seen quite a few unattributed at shows. Interesting but I do not buy the error label, as errors are usually one-offs. IMO, of course. I have a couple, this is the photo of one.

    I think that is a great clashed die. They are usually very minor and not that easy to see when glancing at the coin. This one is very noticeable. I can't comment on any premiums though. I would think it would have to be much more dramatic.
