    The gawdy earings are bad enough but add this topper and you make the All Star Team.

    That is what I am talking about - one of the most lovely silver medals from that era. I have been looking for one that is all original and uncleaned though. A box would be a big plus.

    The hat on the stick was a theme representing freedom from the Roman era - the Phrygian cap - and it lasted in America until the demise of the seated liberty coinage in 1891:

    Purchased from LostDutchman back in 2007, I vaguely remember him vainly trying to extract some promise not to sell to anybody but back to him...




    ...Yeah right. This image is a bit dark, actually the coin is more of a rose pink and blue hue.

    Nope... Only Hasidics still wear it though (I live near a Hasidic area... I see these hats all the time)
