I have found a quarter that doesn't have any ridges on it.
Just wondering if it was made that way, or if it is worn/ground down on the edges.
Here are the pics I have:

I did not mic it, but it feels like it is the same size, if not larger than a ridged quarter...
    Anyone have any clues?

Firstly, don't hold a coin by its faces! It can leave oils on the surface of the coin, making it dirtier. :) I personally believe the rim has just slightly been worn down, enough to make it look like it is smooth, sorry! Keep looking for coins!

it's just really worn. you can see that on both the obverse and reverse.

    Thanks, Everyone!
