What do you mean by "imposters"?

These are very sought after pieces of art.
Do you even know the history behind "hobo" nickels?

    therocktjb Wait, what**

For a self proclaimed knowledgeable and able to grade so many coins, your arrogance and quite frankly flat out inaccurate posts lately are absurd to say the least. What is the point of coming out acting like a know it all to only prove by your postings you clearly are not?

It's called sculpture - people have been doing since there have been people. Granted, some hobos are positively dreadful. The one in the OP isn't bad, but I wouldn't have paid much for it. Others are positively astonishing...

EDITED Im only learning, unlike you, who only point out to all of the things I do wrong. Thats why I ask questions, to learn.

That would depend on the sculptor and the complexity of the design. The guy who does the nickels I posted is no doubt using some sort of dremel tool, or something of that nature. I can't imagine making those pieces "old school".

yes but for someone who is learning you like to spout out like you are an expert. you make a post about something, bashing it and you don't even know what you are bashing. i have seen many posts where you think you are an expert and smarter than others on this site. you are still young so i will chalk up your behavior to that. i think it's better to just learn as much as you can an give your input without seeming like a know-it-all when you clearly don't. most of the members on here have been collecting twice as long if not more than you have been alive. hopefully in time you will realize that and be thankful to have a place to learn about this hobby. i would say just take it down a couple of notches :thumb:

xGAJx - Things aren't always what they seem, so if you're asking questions, that's great, but it's better to hold off on judgment until you hear the opinions of experienced collectors. And by the way, I'm not one of them - I just started seriously collecting a few months ago. And I made the mistake of thinking I knew more than I did, and stuck my foot in my mouth a few times. So don't worry about it. :)
