1973 half dollar, Is this a double stamp? Can someone tell me please.

    Hello and welcome. What you have here is a common example of damage known as Machine Doubling/Mechanical Doubling which occurs often and happens during striking. It is not the valuable and sought after variety known as a Doubled Die. Doubled Die coins are the result in doubling of the design on the die itself. It occurs before those round metal disks ever line up to become coins. Keep your eyes peeled! Good luck.
