Hi guys, I'm new to the list. I have a "weird" collecting goal of getting a coin from each of the UN-chartered countries but with the added challenge of getting them _while_ I'm visiting that country (buying them off ebay's just too easy!). I've been to 50 countries but some of them no longer have coins made. In the last case I was in Laos and with a lot of difficulty managed to find an old out of circulation aluminum coin being sold as a tourist trinket BUT I lost it some way on the way back home. What a bummer! Here is my set so far http://www.tantaluscoins.com/coins/grid155.php Rasiel
Arrived today got 2 of them Must admitt had a hard time getting a good photo, had to resort to my Dino-Lite

Very interesting collection  & I'm glad to meet you here at CT. BTW, Welcome to CoinTalk. :welcome:
These are two new ones I've added to my 16th to 19th century German collection. The first is a Taler from Brunswick-Luneburg (NGC-EF45). The second coin is a commemorative from Frankfurt (PCGS-MS63).
The man on the coin is St. Peter, by the way. The coin basically depicts the city's CoA; Trier is considered to be the oldest city in Germany, and has been the residence of a bishop since the third century. Christian
