    Hey all,

I just got this 1899 $5 chief in the mail. It was sold as uncirculated, but unfortunately it is far from it - and the price I paid does not justify keeping it. As I was examining it closely, I found a number of folds that have been pressed out. But something peculiar caught my eye.

It is what appears to be an end of roll error.

Now, I'm not familiar with how large size notes were printed, and whether end of roll errors are even possible. I haven't seen that many end of roll errors either to make a call.

I only have a short time frame to send it back, so I don't have the opportunity to get it graded. What do you guys think? Is it just another fold?

When the large notes were first printed, they used a wet system, so the roll could be from that process.:rollling:

Or it could be just where light as discolored it from time.
    I really have no idea.
