clad and silver coins. Space at sdb becomes really an issue. But I still collect gold though :)

The big question now is where I am gonna dump these clads and silvers ... Dang it, I should've focused on gold to start with! Sorry that you have to hear my rant .....

There is an open forum you can advertise on to sell them to forum members.

Yes, yes, yes ... Thank you all for pointing out where to dump my clads and silvers. I haven't tried Craigslist, maybe I'll give a try. Local coin shops suck in my area - they are ripping people off! EBay? emmm, not sure if I wanna deal with all the work - never done it before. I did call some companies like Apmex, GoldMart and ModernCoinMart. Good a good deal for some silver sets from MCM.

I tried it here too - but people seem too afraid to even give me their best offer. They should just give it a go and see what a lucky day they could've had ... lol!

I have noticed that many such ads go unsold, and I think there would be more replies if one advertised it with a price acceptable immediately to the seller, and then say "but I welcome best offer over 80% "{or something do able) This allows new members to not feel they might get a rant when offering a blind amount.

Several members have told me they don't reply to 'no price' ads to avoid drama ~~ not that you would do that, but some would in PMs.

Quick question, what's the best and most acceptable and most trustworthy payment method among us if I wanna offer my coins here?

Hey! I resemble that remark... ;)

To be honest, I agree with this... I generally am afraid to tee someone off by making an offer that might be considered insulting on anything that's not junk silver (since that's usually easy to figure out).

IMHO, PayPal (either regular or gift) is the most standard and easy way, or if you don't want to pay the fees you could take a personal check with stipulation that you'll ship after it clears. I've done that a few times, and if you are a trusted member with references, it usually puts folks more at ease. But, that's just my experience.

Thanks for the tip. PayPal sounds good to me!
I have never sold or bought anything here - maybe people feel a bit put off with my lack of references or experience ....

Good communication, pictures, and maybe starting with small lots to build up your references and confidence, and you should be fine. Everyone needs to start somewhere... :)

I am with you op, i am not looking for silver anymore, (unless its in the shape of an ancient coin). Too much bulk in the sdb. My next pm purchases will be gold or pt.
