I listed this on Ebay yesterday but would like the opinion of the group here.
What do you think this would grade out as?

    Thanks

I dont know if Busts grade differently, but I would put this no better than G-4.

IF it was in my collection it would be marked AG2 but given there are a ver spots on it that are not totally smouth you could mark it as G4.

    I'll go with Good condition.

I listed it in VG condition really based on the reverse and what another person has up for auction. I do not want to get into forum trouble. If you go to ebay and check out the 1806/5 draped bust quarter, you will see what I am referring to.

It looks like a vg-8 to me.

PCGS or NGC may give you a G-4. It's within half a point of that grade IMHO.

Too bad your selling that coin. It's really nice.

The coin belongs to my Father in Law. He was the one who wanted me to sell it. I would have held onto it if I had a couple hundred spare bucks.

According to Photograde the reverse would be VG, but the rim should be stronger.
The obverse looks like a good+.
    nice coin

The coin sold for $290. The buyer did not want insurance on the shipment but I paid for it on my own anyways just to cover my A**. Everywhere I look for pricing on the coin said I should get between $250 and $600 for it. We were hoping for a few more bucks but can live with what we got for it.

Not a bad price, I got mine an AG+++ for $90 in 1999.
But that was what I graded it at the time. Not as strong as yours, but it is still the only one that I have ever seen at a coin show.
