I recently picked up a Canadian 20 Cent piece. In attributing it, I found that there are 3 different date varieties. Any idea which this one is? Obverse: http://www.flickr.com/photos/georgemo/8519287784/ Reverse (enhanced):
Here's a larger (although not much clearer) photo. It looks like the date area had heightened wear on this piece: http://www.flickr.com/photos/georgemo/8518580649/sizes/o/in/photostream/
Sorry, my camera only goes up to 14 MP. Maybe I should rent some time on Hubble? http://www.flickr.com/photos/georgemo/8518580649/sizes/o/in/photostream/
I have taken better pictures of small objects with an iPhone camera (8 megapixel), no lens. I believe it is not getting enough light and that it isn't stable enough.... To fix this, make a holder for the camera (tape and three books is an easy way to make this) and a little more light. Hope this helps!
The coin really is fairly worn in the middle. I understand that this was a common problem for the 20 cent pieces. Are you really saying that this image is not clear enough to judge the variety? http://www.flickr.com/photos/georgemo/8518580649/sizes/o/in/photostream/
If you have a 14 MP camera, it should be crystal clear. Make sure that you are in macro or close-up mode (usually a flower icon) and then stabilize the coin and/or camera and give it some indirect light. No one can tell you anything with that blur.
