Sister had it in a handful of change, paid her a quarter for it. (That's a steal in my book!) What would this toned dime be worth? Also, I've never had a coin slabbed before, and I've been getting the itch to send one in, just for the fun of it. Is this slab-able, or should I wait for something else to come along?
I wouldn't be able to answer your questions off these pictures, but it's a pretty one. The orientations are just all wrong. They show off the color but are inadequate for a condition-grade. I'd need head-ons of both sides; don't tilt the coin.
Here they are. I'm sorry, but the light source is from the top of the coin; I can't do any better at the moment.
It's in MS condition. No Full Torch. Complete sides is the best way to show these rather than in puzzle form. I'll say based on these pics it's a cinch with that color to market grade at MS64.
Autocorrect! :desk: Don't ya just love it? Heh, ya know, sometimes I just go home and stab my coins for fun!
that coin is not worth getting graded. it looks well circulated. you can find MS coins with toning like that for really cheap. generally a couple bucks over melt. still a nice coin for a quarter
Judging by the nick under Roosevelt's jaw and the fact that it was in pocket change, I might call it a slider (right around ms-60 on a good day). You can get the same coin on ebay slabbed ms-66 for about the cost of submitting it. Great color though, it's a looker!
