I 'think' it is a 1/2 Anna from the Indian Princely State of Indore but have no idea of either Ruler or date as it is very worn. The coin weighs 12g and has a diameter of approx 32mm.
If anyone could give me any further information I would be most grateful.

    Many Thanks

That looks nothing like my Indian Quarter Anna 1889 coin (not my picture), not that your coin is from India itself but the design looks stranger.

Infact your coin looks Mongolian, I dont know why.

Thanks for the reply. Using the google search ( ?????) I did find it as an Indian Princely State coin from Indore, not a Colonial British India coin. I will double check to see if I can find anything else.

    Cheers

Yes - Indian Princely State Indore, 1/2 Anna. Last digit of date I think is a 4, which I believe makes it VS1944 corresponding to 1887 in the Christian dating system. Minted during the reign of Shivaji Rao. All this from Krause - I think it is KM 35.1 on page 651 of my 4th edition 1801 to 1900.
