My latest score. Or not, as the case may be.

From a new dealer, who has a toned 1922 Peace Dollar I'm lusting after. I think I can trust him.

Grade and Value comments, please...critical or not. Thanks.

Vg-8 with some damage to the obverse--gouges. Might not make it in a slab. $50 coin.

I would just say damaged, and let it go at that. $40-$50 sounds fair.

That is about right $40-70, but it is damaged. Since it is a decent date, lots of collectors would want it, even circulated and damaged. :)

Thanks, Chris. I gave it to my son about two years ago 'cause he lusted after it so badly.

The fellow I got it from misunderstood the Centennial for Bi-Centennial, thought it was about 25 years old and plated. Sold it to me for $6. If it had been silver or gold, I'd never have seen it, so I'm content with bronze!

I'd pick another avatar if I were better organized...maybe soon?

You got a great deal! I bought mine at the FUN Show about 6 years ago for $165. I believe it is copper, though.
