Yesterday I received my initial shipment from the new dealer (new to me). I couldn't be happier with the coins. They are all better in-hand which is the case in many instances. The coins were well packaged and arrived in a reasonable length of time. I will most definitely keep this dealer as one of my favorites. Just in a way of reminder, I am again posting the images of the five coins.

Always good to find a dealer you can trust. I like the Auillius coin, the tone and strike is very appealing. And for some reason I really like the reverse design for the Clodius coin.

Well I'm glad they're finally in your stash! It was great to discuss them all individually over the last week. I generally have the same experience with pics and real life - I've only been disappointed once and had to send a coin back.

It's nice to have coins you like resting in the palm of your hand. One of the main reasons for my change from modern to Ancient in the first place. That and the history. I like them all, but the Macrinus is sweet. Thanks for the comments.

i like the reverse on the piso frugi, nothing about a living person was allowed to be put on a coin in the republic,so they put things about an ancestor,in this case one of his family inverted horse racing,in very much the same form as today

Nice stuff Bing. Do you have Roman denarius as a focus of your collection??? :hail:

It seems I collect more silver than base metal, so I guess you can say Denarii is a focus in my collection. BTW, thanks for the comments Ripley, Christmat and wyvern
