Found this today!!! 1925 5 cents, appears to be F-VF... I priced it online @ or around $60-$100 in its condition. Any experts on this coin? Opinions on grade or value? Thanks as always!
Im no expert at all, I specialize in american coins, but it looks lik a really nice luster, atleast EF?
Hey, nice find! I'm not an expert on this, but I can offer pics of my NGC XF45 version of this coin for comparison. Nice key date - hope it's real!
I collect the 5 cent Canadian coins, this mintage is low..201921, to get a 1925 that nice is great, i would say vf for the grade, now the far 6 is the money coin, it has higher mintage total with near 6 of 938162...:thumb:
I'd go VF (probably closer to 20) as well and I have a hard time believing that NGC could give that other one a 45. Some of these were weakly struck but that coin has heavy wear all over .. the Rev much better than the Obv. Current Trends is $100 in F-12 and $160 in VF-20. Taking 50-60% of Trends is about what most will sell for unslabbed.
1925 5 cents ... according to the Charlton catalogue: VF = $150 EF = $350 ... I bet yours is in this ball-park
Here's mine 1925, i think its fine..Also here's mine near 6 and far 6..i have a old Whitman album 1922 to 1960.i also have the 1947 maple leaf, Stevex6 is missing the 1947 half dollar, the pricey one in his series, i'm working on the whole set... for some reason i can't load my far 6 rev..will try later.
